Title: Good story but the presentation is comical.

Review: This book was obviously written by someone from China; the names, customs, culture, emphasis on rank or position of influence, the way of speaking, the use of full names every time they are used and many other things stand out glaringly as being from a foreign culture. The translation to English is poor in quality and seems to be done by someone who speaks Chinese as a first language and English as a poor second, requiring you the reader to fill in missing words and substitute more appropriate words and phrasing to help it make sense. There is a very narrow range of idioms, unusual over the top adjectives, inappropriate metaphors, and laughable jargon that leaves the reader feeling like he is wading through a poorly translated user manual for a Chinese electronics product. The author seldom uses a sentence where he can put in a paragraph or two to say the same thing.
The book is very short covering too small a period of time, I assume so he can sell more books. That said, if you can get past the ridiculous presentation, the story is really quite entertaining, unique and well worth the effort; it kept me coming back in anticipation for the next book in the series.

Title: I read ALOT of LITRPG and this is still my favorite!

Review: I have been reading this book for a couple of years and it's the only one that I have followed for this long. Yes, welcome to the modern age where you get content while the author is writing e.g. webnovels, or where you are reading a novel that is still being translated, or even a combination of both... a big change from the old model of getting a book when its finished... but I would argue that while frustrating when waiting on more content, it gives us more options and longer stories which is better for all of us. The author even took a year long hiatus and has recently started back writing.

1 - Content
This is a novel about a male main character who is reincarnated after playing the game for 10 years to be able to start over (this theme has been done in many other books but it a great premise). I will not give spoilers, but this actually has more out-of-the-game content than most (many books in this genre have a few initial chapters of how the MC gets in the game, then little to no real-life story once there), in this book its like 2 stories are going on at the same time. Very enjoyable, well written, compliments each other and relates instead of distracts!

The author uses actual item/character stats from the game which is nice (I like LITRPG and many books ignore the numbers or use them in extreme, its refreshing to see them in this book). He is overpowered but at least you know how he got there due to his previous-life knowledge. There is no harem in this series, heck I would have even enjoyed him getting into a relationship with some of the female characters to make him more human. Most of the LITRPG deal with relationships in the extremes sadly, either they are monks or its endless harams with degrees of detail that very as well. He values friendship and has good ethics, so this story can easily be read by almost any age group.

The author does seem to repeat things which could annoy some, but its not all the time so I just skim when he tells me about something I already know/read about. The content is fresh and you get many different venues of fights/locations/quests so even though this is long, it is not grinding.

2 - This actual eBook on Amazon
This is one of the better translations I have read (if you read these types of books online you know what I mean) and the spelling, paragraphs, verbiage are truly well done. This also leads me to probably my biggest negative on this series here on Amazon, they have volumes 1-10 available and it stops... At the time of this review, the translated version is up to chapter 2850, and yes I am able to get it at one of the MANY different websites (some free, some paid) but I like to read it on my Kindle and not via a webpage. Yes, there are some sites that have apps to read on, but I like OWNING the books, I want to financially support the author/translator so we can have more and I cannot do this on the Amazon/Kindle platform. Please start back offering the remainder of the books and I will buy them gladly!

Title: Outstanding Series

Review: I have a massive backlog of books that I am always adding to - If I find a book on sale by an author I like my kneejerk reaction is to buy it - This results in me always being behind in my reading - Often I will read a book from one series , then go to something else immediately thereafter - That is not the case with this series - I bought a few of them DESPITE them not being on sale - Started reading the series and never stopped (well except for buying the next book in the series) - Before I knew it I had completed the entire 10 book series - Am waiting impatiently for the next book in the series HINT HINT :)

Title: Plot holes and a broken storyline smeared over with a bad Chinese to English translation

Review: Ok, by the time you've read this review, you should have noticed the bountiful number of other reviews complaining about the horrendous translation from Chinese to English. The translator is either a machine (Google Translate) or somebody who is not a native English speaker. It's bad.

Putting aside the translation, this story has plot holes. Our main character gets cursed early on and loses 50% of his attributes making him a player with average stats. A couple of chapters later, he easily subdues another player because of his high stats. I think the author simply cut and pasted various scenes around in the book without much planning or regard to story arcs. A competitor forger (ok, Blacksmith in English) starts selling armor at a loss. Why doesn't our protagonist just buy up the armor to resell?

I hate having to kill off my own brain cells just to enjoy a book.

Review: The MC Shi Feng continues to be overpowered character through the knowledge of the future and lots of luck. The second book in this series continues to be an entertaining ride with few grammatical errors. Only three days have passed since the opening of God Domain; Brother Feng continues to be a focus on his goals: opening a new workshop to rival his former Shadow guild, making enough money to change the future of his love ones, and, of course, be the number one swordsman in God Domain. This story takes place both in the game and in reality; both are entertaining and move the story along progress the plot and set up new challenges for our hero.

Review: Cons: Too short, and the author didn't include many descriptions of items or abilities from the first book. Next, the author occasionally doesn't describe things as well as they could be.

Pros: The author continues to deliver new strategies through the main character actions, completing new challenges he comes across, without repeating old strategies too much. The accomplishments and mannerisms of the main character remains upstanding. Lastly, the plot is thickening while the book leave a good air of anticipation.
